Rising From The Storm

Rising From The Storm

The cocoon was never the destination.

It was preparation for flight.

Today, I celebrate the butterfly—not because it is beautiful, but because it is a reminder that transformation is possible. It reminds me that God is still in the business of restoring, renewing, and rebuilding.

The butterfly reminds me that God can take what appears broken and transform it into something beautiful. He can take seasons of waiting and turn them into seasons of purpose. He can take ashes and create beauty. He can take pain and create testimony.

My uncle affectionately called me “The Comeback Kid.” No matter how many times life knocked me down, he believed I would rise again. Looking back, I realize it wasn’t my strength that allowed me to keep getting up—it was the grace of God carrying me through every season.

This butterfly has earned her wings.

Not because life was easy.
Not because the journey was perfect.
Not because there were never storms.

But because God was faithful through every storm.

And by the grace of God, it is time to soar.
